Undergraduate

The School of Mathematical and Physical Sciences offers 14 undergraduate degree programmes including:

  • single honours in Mathematics, Statistics and Meteorology
  • joint degrees in Mathematics (including with Meteorology and Statistics)
  • and a small number of programmes that include either a year abroad or a year in industry to gain practical experience.

You will be taught mostly by lectures with initial tutorial support, with some programmes requiring you to undertake practical/lab work. As well as contact with academic staff you will be supported by services around the university, the School Teaching & Learning Office and every student is allocated a personal tutor with whom they can discuss academic and personal matters.
